Adam Schwartzman was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1973 and studied at the University of Oxford. He received degrees in English literature and development studies. He’s also the author of three books of poetry. They are The Good Life, The Dirty Life, and Other Stories; Merrie Afrika!, and Book of Stones. He lives in Istanbul, Turkey today and has recently completed an anthology of South African poets. His first novel, Eddie Signwriter, was published in 2011.
