Alan Jenkins Poems

Alan Jenkins was born in Surry and lived much of his youth in Richmond. He spent time working for The Times Literary Supplement as an editor and The Observer and the Sunday Independent as a critic. He won the Eric Gregory Award in 1981 and was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize for The Drift in 2000. He has taught creative writing in both England and France while also spending time as the Poet in Residence at St. John’s College, University of Cambridge.
