Chidiock Tichborne

Chidiock Tichborne was an English poet who is best remembered as a conspirator who took part in a plot to murder Queen Elizabeth and replace her with Mary, Queen of Scots. He wrote his best-known poem while imprisoned in the Tower of London on the eve of his execution.
