Kathleen Jamie is a Scottish poet who won the Eric Gregory Award when she was nineteen. Her first collection was published a year later, titled Black Spiders. When speaking about her poetry, she wants her work to be regarded as “a sort of connective tissue” She was influenced by poets like Annie Dillard and Elizabeth Bishop.
