Lizette Woodworth Reese

Lizette Woodworth Reese was born in Maryland, in the United States. She spent 50 years as an English teacher in Baltimore and published her first poetry collection in 1887. It solidified her reputation and was followed by eight more volumes of poetry and long narrative poems. She also published an autobiographical novel.
