Mary Ruefle is a contemporary American poet born in 1952. Throughout her career so far, she has published a dozen books of poetry. This includes My Private Property and The Adamant. The former was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the latter won the Iowa Poetry Prize.
