Omar Khayyam

Omar Khayyam, also known as Ghiyāth al-Dīn Abū al-Fatḥ ʿUmar ibn Ibrāhīm Nīsābūrī was a Persian writer, polymath, philosopher, and poet. He was born in Iran in 1048 and died in 1131 at the age of eighty-three. His poetic works have been translated by authors like Edward FitzGerald.
