Roberta Sykes was an Australian poet. She is also remembered as a human rights and women’s rights activist who spent much of her life campaigning for indigenous rights. Her first book of poetry has published in 1979 and the second in 1996. She won the Patricia Weickert Black Writers Award in 1982.
