Sterling A. Brown was an American poet born in 1901. He was inspired by authors like T.S. Eliot, Amy Lowell, and Carl Sandburg. He’s also remembered for editing The Negro Caravan in 1941 and for his work’s jazz and blues influence. He died in 1989.
