Warsan Shire

Warsan Shire is a British Somali writer who was born in 1988. She has published two chapbooks, one of which is titled Teaching My Mother How to Give Birth. Shire has also been awarded several prestigious awards including a tenure as the first Young Poet Laureate of London.
