William Meredith

William Meredith was born in 1919 and is regarded as one of the most important American poets of the 20th century. He served as the Poet Laureate Consulate in Poetry to the Library of Congress as well as a Director and Chancellor of the Academy of American Poets. Throughout his career, he was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, Harriet Monroe Memorial Prize, and more.
